About Us.

Oosh was launched in September 2026 but the story actually started many years ago when Mike (founder), decided to organise a ski trip for his friends, determined to not be out of pocket Mike used every tool available and still ended up >£200 out of pocket. The experience felt more like an accountancy course than a group holiday and the consistent chasing friends for money and being out of pocket was hugely frustrated.

So he thought he would do something about it...

Mike learnt to code and created the first version of Oosh (previously called PayPots). The principle was simple, to create an expense sharing app that actually helped you get paid back, not just a confusing idea of who-owes-who.

Jack Light joined the team to help test the early versions of the app before the boys were joined by Imogen Sinker to help spread the word that sharing money doesn't have to be difficult and stressful as it currently felt.

Since then we have seen more than 100,000 expenses, requests, sends and links issued, helping over 35,000 users get paid back more than £1,500,000!
